Sunsets and Horses- Alone moments11:45
As I sit her listening to some classic David Bowie, singing along to Golden Years, I think once again how blessed I am. This week has been one of those weeks where one minute you are wishing it away and the next you are telling it to slow the hell down.
As soon as 4pm hit, I dash from work and headed home. For the passed two weeks I have noticed a field with some new horses in and today whilst traffic was quiet I pulled down this little farm track, parked up and went to see these enchanting creatures. Just at that moment the sun set blew my mind and out came my phone and I took endless amounts of photos of the horses and the sunset behind them. Oh goodness my heart melted. It was one of those moments I really needed to bring my working week to a perfect close. To start the weekend on a high.
I am so lucky that I get to experience the world in this way and although I know these alone moments will lessen when baby boy arrives, I really don't care. I am just so excited to be able to have him with me when I experience these moments. For him to witness the world in the best way. Sunsets, sunrises, wildlife and adventure. I want him to experience it all with us.
On Sunday I think I shall take a little drive back to this farm crack and walk down it some more and see what I can find at the end of it. Camera in hand. I need to grab these moments when ever I can. I am blessed. We are blessed. This world really is a beautiful place, if only people would seek out the wonders that surround us.
Tomorrow is a new day and one I will greet with sleepy eyes but eyes awaiting more adventure.
Happy Friday everyone.
