Lets Get Lost11:41
Ever since I can remember I have always been more at home in the wilderness, with nature. At the age of 5 my parents took me and my sister to Disney Florida, what should have been a wonderful time turned out to be awful for this 5 year old... Until we took a trip to the mountains. According to my folks I was much more at home in the tranquil surroundings, the trees and surrounding beauty.
Not much as has changed and most days I long for me and the boy to just pack our bags and go on the biggest adventure of our lives. See mountains, forests, lakes and rivers. Canoe (never canoed in my life) down the beautiful rivers of New Zealand, swim in hidden lakes and sleep under the stars.
At the end of April the boy is taking me on an adventure to Scotland. I am so excited to be surrounded by valley's, lochs and mountains. I just know right away I will be right at home. I am hoping one evening that the boy and I can sit outside our little two person castle (this is what we are staying in) and just look up at the stars, wrapped in blankets listening to pretty music.
Last time we took a trip like this I was really unprepared for the walking and this time I want to make sure I have proper hiking boots, socks and thermals. So this weekend I am off shopping to hopefully get myself a pair. I have been ill the past two days, so wish me luck that I am feeling better for tomorrow. I really want a pair of vintage brown looking hiking boots like the below:
I am so ready to make this a year of seeking out new places and can't wait to document every moment with pictures. I even think I may be brave and start taking film photos as well.
