Creative Moments - Dried flower hair clips

06:09

I have always loved flowers. I think I get my love from my mother who is a keen gardener, so I think its safe to say I get my green fingers from her. Since I started wedding planning and decided I wanted dried a dry flower bouquet for my flower I wanted to try my hand at making my own dried flower hair clips and slides.

Having lots of gypsophila left from the wedding I have dried it out and sat down with my new glue gun to try my hand at making a clip and it was so easy. A little fiddly but I think the outcome is pretty great.

I always find it a shame seeing flowers die and really a waste of money but I think I may have found a new craft that not only is fun to do but also puts dried dead flowers to good use instead of putting them in the bin or compost bin. I even think once I get the hang of it I may try and make crowns as well. First though I want to learn the proper way of drying flowers and then who knows I could be adding some of these creations to my ETSY shop once I am ready to open it.

  1. This is such a good idea, and what you have done so far looks lovely! I have also seen people put dried flowers in small glass vials and make necklaces. :) xo

    1. Funny you should say that as thats what I have done for my blog promos for this blog camp I am going to on Saturday. Better than just having plan buisness cards. The have a dried flower in, glitter and a scroll with a message on and then I have added them to twine to make a necklace :) They will be on my blog soon. x
