An unexpected trip to London Town - Creating memories

08:26

An unexpected trip to London with the folks & niece ended in a dramatic train journey home and a expensive cab ride but apart from being packed in to tube trains like sardines and not getting into Winter Wonderland due to immense amounts of people, I had a lovely day.

Shopping in Spitalfields, a Carousel in Trafalgar Square and dinner at Bella Italia. Perfect. I found Lee and I a deer's head for the living room wall, it maybe smaller than my hand but it is going to look perfect to our recently hug stamp tray frame on the wall. My beautiful niece found a stall selling make your own nail polish and treated herself to some of that. My Mum got herself a huge vintage bag (which she then had to lug around London) and my Dad, well he found a torch that I now have wrapped and under the tree for him. Its the simple things that please most people and its the simple things that make a day just right.

I love these unexpected family times and although my boy couldn't be with us it was a lovely day of creating memories for my niece. A day I am sure she will never forget.
