The Key To Our Hearts13:38
From the day Lee proposed to me, I knew straight away what I wanted our wedding favours to be. Yes that's right, vintage keys. Boy was I not prepared for how difficult it would be to find vintage keys and enough for 60+ people, but this weekend whilst helping my wonderful mother out on her vintage stall we came across a basket of 17 keys and I knew straight away I had to have them so I sent my mum to do the deal and bag me these beauties. Not only are they old and wonderful but the people I got them from bought them from a French man, so I assume they are keys from France, which is simply wonderful. Of course this is only the start but I have decided to do a key per couple to cut the costs down.
Some of you maybe wondering why keys, well its simple. For those that know me, they know I have a key tattoo (the key to my heart) which after the wedding will be completed with a tag saying found. Lee incorporate it into his proposal. So I knew straight away that this would be a perfect idea for favours. Something someone can keep forever and has some meaning behind it. Each key will have vintage lace and a tag on it with each couples or singles names and then found written on the other side.
I didn't realise how expensive it would be to collect vintage keys and I know this is going to be tricky but I am so excited to complete the collection and for every one to have their keys on the day. So here's to finding more and the good thing is the people I bought these from said they have some more and my mum will be getting them from them soon. THANKS MUM!!!
