Hundreds & Thousands

13:03

This evening has been creating sweet treats in the kitchen. After reading the lastest issue of Sweet I decided to try my hand at chocolate coins with hundreds and thousands on them. As its my sisters Birthday coming up I thought who better to make them for. She is a really big lover of childhood sweet.

They are so quick and easy to make and really are so cheap to make as well, depending on the chocolate you use. Of course me being a Cadburys girl I chose to make them with this chocolate and I have to say I found myself eating cubes of the chocolate whilst melting it down. Naughty me.

So all you need to make these are:
  • 100gs of chocolate
  • Hundreds and thousands
  • baking paper
Simply melt your chocolate down using a glass dish over some simmering water. Once the chocolate is a runny and lovely, take your tray covered in backing paper. Take a tea spoon and spoon a little bit of chocolate onto the baking paper. If the chocolate doesn't spread out itself, use the base of your tea spoon so help it along. Repeat this step making them as big or as thick as you like and once you have finished sprinkle on your hundreds and thousands.

Once you have finished place the tray in the fridge and leave them for a good hour or so to harden and you are good to go. See they are that simple. Try them yourself using what ever sprinkles you want to use. Next time I am using sprinkle stars...
